For the most current information from Governor Ron DeSantis regarding updates on Hurricane Ian after surveying various impacted areas across the state with Division of Emergency Management Director Kevin Guthrie and Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Deanne Criswell. Governor DeSantis traveled to Fort Myers, Seminole County, and St. Augustine to survey impacted areas and meet with storm victims.

September 19, 2018 - The President visits areas impacted by Florenc, as the death toll from the storm is at least 51, including 39 fatalities in North Carolina, nine deaths in South Carolina and three fatalities in Virginia.
October 10, 2018 - Michael makes landfall as a Category 5 hurricane in the Florida panhandle. Michael was originally designated as a Category 4, but post-analysis revealed Michael's winds at landfall were 160 mph (Category 5).
October 12, 2018 - More than one million people, across four states, are left without power due to Hurricane Michael.
August 29, 2019 -Hurricane Dorian’s uncertain projected path, Florida Governer expanded the state of emergency to include all 67 counties throughout Florida,” said the Florida Governor. “All residents, especially those along the east coast, need to be prepared."
